  • MBC Playbe Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company') has the following handling (processing) policy to protect the personal information protection and rights and interests of information body in accordance with the 『Individual Information Act』 and the 『Act on Promotion on Service of Information Communication Network and Information Protection』 and flawlessly process the grievance of individual information related information body.

    In the event that this policy is revised, the Company notified through the web-site notice matters (or individual notice). This policy is to be implemented from April 1, 2013.

  • CHAPTER I CATEGORIES OF INDIVIDUAL INFORMATION AND COLLECTION METHOD

  • CHAPTER II COLLECTION OF INDIVIDUAL INFORMATION AND PURPOSE OF SERVICE

    The Company shall process the personal information for the following purpose. The processed personal information shall not be used for any use other than the following purpose and, when the use purpose is modified, it shall seek for advance consent.
    1. (1) Subscription of homepage membership and management
      The personal information shall be processed for the purpose of maintenance and management of membership qualification following the membership service provision, identification of certification, maintenance and management of membership qualification, ID confirmation following implementation of restricted ID confirmation service, prevention of unjust use of service, various notices and notifications, record conservation for grievance and dispute adjustment and others.
    2. (2) Processing of customer inquiries
      The personal information shall be processed for the purpose of confirmation of customer ID, confirmation of request and inquiry, contact and notice for factual survey, notice of processing result and others.
    3. (3) Contract performance on service provision and settlement of reservation

    4. (4) Facilitation in marketing and advertisement
      The personal information shall be processed for the purpose of event and other advertisement information conveyance (CRM), forwarding of goods when won the event, new service development and specialization, service provision and advertisement recording for demographic characteristics, forwarding of homepage newsletter, statistical purpose on service use of member or finding out frequency of linkage.
  • CHAPTER III MATTERS ON PROVIDING PERSONAL INFORMATION TO A THIRD PARTY

    1. (1) The Company shall use the personal information of users within the scope notified under "2. Collection of personal information and purpose of use", and it shall not disclose the personal information of user to outside or use it in excess of scope without the consent of user in advance.
      However, it shall be exception in the event of the followings.

      2. 2. In the event that it is caused by provisions of laws and regulations or required by investigation agency information the procedure and method set forth under laws and regulations for the investigative purpose
  • CHAPTER IV CONSIGNED HANDLING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    The Company consigns the personal information for the service improvement as follows and the matters required for safe management of personal information are defined when entering into the Consignment Agreement.

    2. (2) When entering into the Agreement, the Company shall specify the matters on responsibilities on prohibition of personal information processing, technical and managerial protective measure, re-consignment restriction, management and supervision on consignor, responsibility on damage compensation and others other than the purpose of consignment work in accordance with Article 25 of the Act on Promotion on Service of Information Communication Network and Information Protection, and the consignor shall supervise to safely process the personal information.
    3. (3) In the event that the contents of consignment work or consignor is modified, it shall be disclosed through the personal information handling processing policy without delay.
  • CHAPTER V PERIOD OF PROCESSING AND POSSESSION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. (1) The Company shall process and possess the personal information within the personal information possession and use period obtaining for consent at the time of collecting the personal information from information body or possession and use period of the personal information under laws and regulations. 1) The processing and possession period of the respective personal information are shown as follows. The personal information is possessed and used for the purpose of use until accomplishing the purpose from the date of consent on collection and use.
      1. 1) Period of processing and possession
        - Membership subscription information: Until the time of membership withdrawal
        - Customer inquiry information: 3 years after customer inquiry processing
      2. 2) Cause of information possession under pertinent laws and regulations
        In the event that there is a need for conservation under the provisions of pertinent laws and regulations, such as, the Commercial Act, the Act on Consumer Protection on E-Commerce and Etc. and others, the Company keeps the member information during certain period set forth under the pertinent laws and regulations. In this case, the Company shall use the information in storage only for the purpose of storage and the conservation period is shown as follows.

  • CHAPTER VI RIGHTS OF USERS AND LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES AND METHOD OF EXERCISE

    1. (1) The information body may exercise the following personal information protection related rights on the Company at any time.
      1. ① Request to disclose personal information
      2. ② Request for correction upon detecting error and others
      3. ③ Request for deletion
      4. ④ request for processing suspension
    2. (2) Exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 may be made through writing in accordance with the forms prepared on the Company, e-mail, FAX and others and the Company shall take action without delay.
    3. (3) In the event that the information body requests correction or deletion on error and others of the personal information, the Company shall not use or provide the applicable personal information until correction or deletion is completed.
    4. (4) Exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 may be made through legal representative, delegated person or representative of information body. In this case, the power of attorney has to be submitted following the prepared forms.
    5. (5) When the personal information is infringed or disclosed, it shall be notified through e-mail, homepage notice and others without delay.

  • CHAPTER VII MATTERS ON INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND REFUSAL OF PERSONAL AUTOMATIC COLLECTION DEVICE OF INFORMATION

    1. (1) What is the cookie?
      1. - The Company uses the cookie to save and retrieve information of user for providing individualized and tailored service.
      2. - The cookie is saved on the hard disc of user computer in very small text file that the server used for operating the web-site to the browser of user. In the event that user visits the web-site thereafter, the web-site server reads the contents of the cookie saved on the hard disc of user to maintain the environment set of user and use to provide the tailored service.
      3. - The cookie does not automatically or actively collect information that identifies individual and user may refuse or delete the saving of such cookie at anytime.
    2. (2) Purpose of using the cookie of the Company
      By finding out visit and service type, security linkage, user scale and so forth on each service and web-sites of the Company that users visited, it is used to provide the optimal tailored information including advertisement for users.
    3. (3) Installation, operation and refusal of the cookie
      1. - User has the option on cookie installation. Therefore, user sets the option from the web-browser to permit all cookies or go through the confirmation each time a cookie is saved, or rejects the saving of all cookies.
      2. - However, in the event that user refuses to install the cookie, service provision may encounter problems. The contents of the cookie are read to maintain the environment set and it is used to provide the tailored service.

  • CHAPTER VIII PROCEDURE AND METHOD OF DESTROYING PERSONAL INFORMATION

    The personal information of user shall be destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use of personal information is accomplished in principle. Destruction procedure, period and method of the personal information of the Company are shown as follows.
    1. (1) Procedure of destruction
      1. - Any information inputted by information body shall be destroyed without delay after accomplishing the purpose, and in the event that it has to be kept in accordance with the pertinent laws and regulations, it shall be moved to a separate DB (in the event of paper, separate document box) and kept for certain period in accordance with the internal policy and other pertinent laws and regulations and destroyed without delay.
      2. - At this time, the personal information moved to DB shall not be used for any purpose other than the case of the laws and regulations.
    2. (2) Period of destruction
      1. - In the event that the possession period of personal information is lapsed, the personal information of information body shall be destroyed without delay when the personal information is not necessary for accomplishing the processing goal, closure of applicable service, expiration of business and others.
    3. (3) Method of destruction
      1. - The personal information output on the paper shall be crushed by the shredder or burn to destroy.
      2. - The personal information saved in the electronic file type uses the technical method not to be regenerated the record.
  • CHAPTER IX ACTION TO SECURE STABILITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    The Company undertakes technical, managerial and physical measures required to secure safety as follows.
    1. (1) Implementation of regular independent audit
      Regular independent audit is implemented to secure personal information handling related stability.
    2. (2) Establishment and implementation of the internal management plan
      Internal management plan is established and implemented for safe processing of the personal information.
    3. (3) Encryption of personal information
      Important personal information required by law shall be saved and managed with the encryption to know only by the applicable person and important data uses the separate security function with encryption of file and transmit data or use file locking function.
    4. (4) Technical measure in response to hacking and others
      The Company establishes the security program for preventing disclosure and damage of personal information by hacking or computer virus and others, and periodic renewal and inspection are made to install the system on the controlled area for outside access and physically and technically monitor and disconnect.
    5. (5) Access restriction on the personal information
      Necessary measure is made for access control on the personal information through granting, modification and cancellation of access authority on the DB system to process the personal information and the infiltration disconnection system is used to control the unauthorized access from outside by using the infiltration disconnection system.
    6. (6) Storage of the link record and prevention of forgery and alteration
      The record linked to the personal information processing system is kept and managed at least 6 months and the link record is used for security function not to be forged, altered, or lost.
    7. (7) Use of locking device for the document security
      Document, auxiliary saving media at including personal information are kept in secured place with locking device.
    8. (8) Access control on the unauthorized person
      Physical storage place that keeps the personal information is separately placed to establish and operate the access control procedure.
  • CHAPTER X CONTACT OF RESPONSIBLE PERSON AND PERSON IN CHARGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

    1. (1) When the inquiry is made to the responsible person of personal information management and department in charge for the matters on inquiry related to all personal information protection, processing of discontent, relief of damage and others arising while using the service (or business) of the Company by information bodies, the Company shall respond to the inquiry of the information subject without delay.
